Local Amazon fulfilment centre donates £1,000 to Lamp

Leicestershire Action for Mental Health Project (Lamp) has received a £1,000 donation from the Amazon fulfilment centre in Coalville.

The donation from the Amazon team will go towards funding mental health advocacy work in the Leicestershire community; allowing Lamp to support individuals with a mental health condition and help them access the right support. This support allows individuals to navigate the mental health system, explore different options and empower them to speak up about their care to rebuild their lives.

Kal Doshi, Team Lead at the Amazon fulfilment centre in Coalville nominated the charity for the donation. Kal said:

“Lamp is a charity very close to my heart and I hope this donation brings awareness to the services and support it provides.”

Tracey Foster, General Manager at Amazon in Coalville, added:

“Lamp is a fantastic charity that does many great things in our community. We’re pleased to support the staff and volunteers with this donation.”

Richard Kotulecki, CEO of Lamp, said:

“Thank you to Tracey and the team at Amazon in Coalville. Donations allow us to continue to provide essential mental health advocacy services and raise awareness of mental health.”

Lamp received the donation as part of Amazon’s programme to support communities in and around its operating locations throughout the UK.

In addition to supporting Lamp, Amazon is providing disadvantaged students with online STEM courses as well as teaming up with charity partner Magic Breakfast and delivering more than five million healthy breakfasts to families across England.
