“Lockdowns, financial difficulties and not being able to see our loved ones has had an impact on our mental health. We’re so pleased to be able to team up with Hinckley and Rugby Building Society and Lamp to encourage anyone who’s struggling to talk to someone. We hope that by taking a few minutes out of our normal schedule this week we can do our bit to get people talking.”
The Society recognises the impact that financial struggles can have on people’s mental health as one of society’s biggest challenges and, as a responsible business, has a role in supporting its staff, members and the local community. Sponsoring this event and bringing such valuable information to Fosse 107’s listeners presented the perfect opportunity to do this.
As part of Mental Health Awareness Week, Hinckley & Rugby Building Society is also sponsoring Lamp’s Around The World 5K challenge – encouraging people to get active and raise awareness of the benefits physical activity can have on mental health. Nearly 50 members of Society staff are taking part. If you would like to encourage the team in supporting Lamp, your donations would be most welcome.
