Johnson Astills selects Lamp as its Charity of the Year for 2023
The firm has also signed up to Lamp’s Business Club
The award-winning law firm, Johnson Astills, which has offices in Leicester and Loughborough, has selected Lamp mental health charity as its Charity of the Year for 2023.
The firm, which was named Regional Legal Aid Firm 2022 at the Legal Aid Lawyer of the Year Awards, has also joined Lamp’s Business Club. It will work in partnership with the charity to raise awareness of, and raise funds for, Lamp’s mental health advocacy services.
Laura Anderson, an Associate Solicitor at Johnson Astills, said:
“At Johnson Astills, we recognise that our clients often instruct us at a time of personal stress or conflict, and so we strive to provide our professional services with compassion. It is as important to us that we support our colleagues in the same way. As such, Lamp, and their Business Club, were natural partners for our firm.”
Richard Kotulecki, Lamp’s CEO, added:
“We are delighted that Johnson Astills has selected Lamp as its Charity of the Year for 2023, and extend a warm welcome to them as they become the newest members of our Business Club. Our corporate partners play an important role in enhancing our visibility, whilst enabling us to continue serving the community by providing our mental health advocacy services. Having emerged from the Covid-19 pandemic, we have seen a rise in the number of people who require our services. The support that Johnson Astills will extend to us will ensure that we can help someone with a mental health condition to rebuild their life. In addition, our Business Club is a great way for corporations to support our charitable work while empowering business leaders and teams, and strengthening the organisational culture so that employers and their staff are able to better understand mental health in the workplace, and establish good workplace wellbeing practices.”
