Lamp benefits from match funded donation
Lamp has received a donation from Midlands-based Cadent Gas, the UK’s largest natural gas distribution network, as part of its match funding programme. Through the charity giving platform, Neighbourly, Cadent’s scheme will support employees by matching staff fundraising for their chosen charity, up to a total of £400, and Lamp is one of the latest recipients to receive funding.
Matt Barton, Corporate and Community Engagement Officer at Lamp, said:
“We signed up to Neighbourly a while ago to boost community funding and give businesses the opportunity to contribute to our cause, so were thrilled to receive a surprise donation from Cadent Gas as part of their employee match giving scheme.
“As an independent charity, we rely on much of our funding to come from donations and fundraising to help us to continue offering mental health services, help and support to those local to Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. We’re extremely grateful to the staff at Cadent Gas for their efforts and for recognising the critical work that we do.”
