We are thrilled to announce that our first ‘Lamp Lunchtime with…’ event will be taking place at CHUTNEY IVY RESTAURANT & BAR on January 26th 2024 with Journalist and Author Sam Peters.

Sam is the founder of Concussed Media and author of William Hill Sports Book of the Year shortlisted Concussed Sports Uncomfortable Truth.

Sam is credited with driving cultural change to rugby’s attitude towards head injuries and concussion. In 2014, he was shortlisted as sports journalist of the year at the UK Press Gazette Awards and was runner-up as rugby writer of the year at the 2017 SJA Awards.

Sam will be talking to host Martin Ballard about sports uncomfortable position when it comes to concussion, the heart breaking consequences some professional athletes have faced as a result and what the wider world can learn from the situation.

There will be a beautiful two course lunch served and a chance for you to get a copy of Concussed, signed by the author all whilst supporting Mental Health Advocacy across Leicester, Leicestershire & Rutland.
